Cookie Policy
Cookie choices on Poliqa are handled with a plain, proprietary consent banner we operate ourselves. We do not use third-party consent-management platforms (for example Cookiebot, OneTrust, or similar).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We may also use first-party local storage for the same purposes. This Policy covers poliqa.com and related Poliqa application domains operated by Rondanini Publishing Ltd.
2. Who is responsible
Rondanini Publishing Ltd (Company No. 16548159), registered office 60 Tottenham Court Road, Suite 6438a, Fitzrovia, London, W1T 2EW. Contact: info@poliqa.com.
3. Proprietary consent
On first visit (or after we raise the consent version), a simple banner asks you to:
- Accept — allow optional first-party analytics if we enable them
- Essential only — necessary cookies and storage only
Your choice is stored as a first-party record under a key such as
poliqa.consent (local storage and/or a first-party cookie on our domain).
No consent vendor receives that choice. You can change it later via
or by clearing site data for poliqa.com.
4. Types we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the site or app to work — security, sessions after login, load balancing, and storing your consent choice. These do not require opt-in under PECR / UK GDPR.
Functional (first-party)
Preferences such as product-tour language, kept in our own local storage so the UI is less repetitive.
Optional analytics (first-party only, off until Accept)
If we turn on light usage measurement, it runs only after you tap Accept, stays under our control, and is not sold to ad networks. Essential-only visitors never get those tags.
Marketing cookies
Not used on the marketing site in Beta. We will not load advertising or retargeting cookies without updating this Policy and asking again.
5. Examples
- poliqa.consent — your Accept / Essential-only choice (first-party)
- Session / auth — keeps you signed in to the application
- CSRF / security — protects forms and API calls
- poliqa.tourLang — last tour language preference
6. Third parties
We do not use a third-party cookie-consent product. Hosting and the application may set strictly necessary cookies for delivery and security. If payment checkout is added, the payment provider’s own pages may set cookies under that provider’s policy — those are outside our proprietary banner and only appear on their flow.
Display fonts on the marketing site may be requested from a font CDN; that is a connection for typography, not a consent CMP. We aim to keep optional tracking off until you Accept.
7. How to control cookies
- Use Accept or Essential only on our banner
- Use Reset cookie choice on this page to see the banner again
- Clear poliqa.com site data in your browser
- Browser settings — block cookies; the app may not work fully if essential storage is blocked
8. Updates
If we change consent categories in a material way, we bump the consent version so the banner appears again. The effective date above will also be revised.
